I’m so glad you’re here.
When I first thought about starting a blog, I wanted to write about things that matter and make a difference. I wanted to spread the word about important causes and know I was doing my part…but, I was wrong. Though, there are many wonderful bloggers that do, that’s not what I needed.
I blog for me, myself and I, finding my blog to be my sanctuary. Where I can get away from the stress inducing, news and drama, that hardly seems avoidable these days.
I love getting my daughter up for school, pouring my coffee and sitting down at the laptop and hearing her laugh over Spongebob. I have bad grammar, spelling and photo quality, but they are just part of its personality, my personality. I guess you can call it a “quirk?”
On a bad day, my blog is still there, ready to leave me smiling and hoping it’s making others smile too. I want it to have a unique atmosphere, that’s welcoming and has people returning. Nevertheless, if I didn’t receive visitors, while I would miss you and your visits, I would still be here, blogging away.
I guess being a mom of 3 and house chores to keep up with, this is me reaching out to the world, the best way I can…for now.
I’ve also met some unforgettably, new people too and their blogs have changed the way I see the world and my life. You’re never too old for some new perspective and with a low cost of free, how can you lose?

While you enjoy writing your blog, we enjoy reading it. Thank you! We’re not so alone after all!
I’ve actually found that blogging helps me appreciate the time that I spend with the kids more. When I know that I might write about something in the future, I’m more likely to actually concentrate on what I’m doing and analyze why I like it. It helps me enjoy the little things more.
Same here, it is a creative outlet and a fun way to meet new people. It does get overwhelming when you do all the blog hops and networking and FB and Twitter etc…. But you figure it out and create your own balance. I do not know how those of you with little kids it though. When my kids were young I did not have a moment to myself.
I just started writing and blogging. I can’t get up of a morning without checking in on my blog…like it might have left me the night before! Lol!
So true. And to me, this is why you SHOULD blog, not just to gain followers or review products. Blogging is just one of many creative outlets…and with a bonus of connecting with others who share your style or appreciate your work.
Beautifully said, and you do have a very inviting blog, and I always think I can hear you talking when I read your words. Sometimes the perfection is in our inperfection, or maybe I’m just saying that to make MYSELF feel better, but flaws are good…they keep us all from being the same.
I could not agree more. When we were going through the tough stuff of my sons cancer my blog was a place I could sort out my feelings. Still is. We need a place where we can let it all hang out.
What you said is so true! I’m a single woman with no kids…but still find blogging helps with my creativity and gives me an outlet. The people I have met through blogging has been amazing… Blogging helps me feel connected to the rest of the world while I live at the top of it!
I find that blogging/writing has been very therapeutic for me during those hard times.
Well said! My blog is like a sanctuary for me too. I love to write and always have and being a stay at home mom I was lacking a creative outlet. That is where my blog comes in.
