Desperately trying to manage three children, clean my never-ending mess of a house, I also have the honor of hosting Thanksgiving each year.
I know to prepare things days in advance and everything was going smoothly, until when I needed to make the remaining items, my husband was called into work and on Thanksgiving eve. Ugh! So, throwing those items aside till the day of, he gets called in on Thanksgiving, also!
I didn’t think it could get much worse…but as we already know, it inevitably can and usually will. I forgot to add eggs to my cheesecake and then burned the next one trying to manage time and three kids, including a toddler and infant.
Thankfully, my dysfunctional family can be amazingly, functional when you least expect it. They came, they managed, they conquered!
Not only did the dinner go over beautifully, they watched the kids so James and I could get our Black Friday shopping done. And if you didn’t know, today is my birthday! Deciding, I really need to give my mother in-law’s camera back, I decided to try the crowd for a new Kodak and I actually snagged one and for almost nothing. Woot, woot!!
As I lay in bed at 2:30am, I took a picture of my tired boy with my new camera.
My family is awesome, Thanksgiving was one to remember and my Birthday has kicked off decently. I don’t know how things can get any better…I am not trying to be greedy, but hey…can’t they “inevitably” too?
I hope you had an enjoyable and relaxing Thanksgiving.

So glad things turned out ok, an happy birthday! I’m a Saggitarius too!
