Beautiful, but nasty lil things

So, I had great intentions, but it was ultimately a FAIL. If presentation was everything, I'd win hands down, which is usually not the case. Usually, it looks inedible but tastes fantastic. I always follow these cake baking instructions. Her blog is amazing. I made this cake for my husband, daughter and son's birthday. My advice to you, don't make this cake in mid August. I have central air and I still couldn't seem to keep it cold enough, even in the freezer. It was definitely delicious and worth making again.
